Ipoh Downtown Hotel

The hotel was in a great location. It is only a few minutes walk to many eating places in the new town. There is an excellent food court at the back of the hotel for breakfast. The staff were really friendly and helpful. They did everything they could to assist us. The room was large and equipped with kettle, hairdryer and fridge. The bathroom was a good size. We stayed for 3 nights Everything was very comfortable and we felt very relaxed which enabled us to enjoy our time in Ipoh.

We booked 2 rooms, One executive and one deluxe. The executive room was perfect. The deluxe was nice and clean. The air conditioning in both rooms was great, stayed cool throughout the night. Strong water pressure and the toilet drain works well too.

Location is superb. Nearby to attractions. We took grab to everywhere and cost us RM5 for each journey, i think that’s the minimum charges. Room is spacious with basic amenities. Staff super friendly.

I'm a frequent traveller to Ipoh as my son in studying in Kampar. Looking for comport, value for money yet close to every where makes me tried many different hotels in Ipoh. Downtown hotel meet all above. Dinner n breakfast is all nearby, famous dim sum n chicken rice within walking distant. Just don't use basement parking you can park at limited parking available or just across the hotel, not a big issue.

Location is strategic, bed is comfy, reception was honest to inform about the broken door knob of the bathroom and why it has yet to be fixed to set expectation from the start.
